I am thrilled to share with you my post at Writer Unboxed, which has become one of my favorite, go-to blogs for writing advice and companionship on the journey.
Yes. I liked this, Bethany. ( and aren’t we all happy for the person who commented that she didn’t feel any of this and writing was just pure joy for her.)
Always happy to learn that some people are just out there joyfully creating. I had a great conversation this week with my friend Paul about that. And he was able to draw out of me that of course there have been times when I it all “flowed” and felt simply great. Somehow — to achieve that state more often.

Thanks for writing and sharing this, Bethany. I can relate to writing in the car. I like what you’re saying too about tweaking your writing life’s imagery or metaphor, I’ll think about that some more. Writing for me feels a little like operating a combine harvester. To paraphrase Wikipedia, I “reap, thresh and winnow in a single process.”
